As an athlete climbs the hockey ladder so does their popularity, public brand, and image. Endorsements and partnerships for off-ice income will grow for athletes that are sincere in their content and true in what they represent on and off the ice. We work with Dulcedo Sports and Entertainment to provide our athletes the counsel to thrive in the online world. We believe it is important for our athletes to understand the power of social media- both the positive opportunities that it provides but also the potentially negative aspects that aren't often discussed.

‍Both the NCAA (via Tier 2) and CHL are great paths to take and have both produced high level players equally. We help lay out the pros and cons of both paths, tailored to each athlete, and help our athletes and their families make an informed decision based on their individual priorities and goals. 

We are strong believers at Apollo that what separates sports agencies is the work they do in between contracts for their clients. Assisting with day to day tasks to help the athlete and their families with any request. Whether it's a vacation, a restaurant reservation, or concert tickets, we at Apollo are always here to help our athlete’s with whatever they need off the ice. ‍Whether at the CHL or NHL level, contracts are a major part of what an agent provides for the athletes with our guidance and experience. We have a team in place to ensure maximum earnings for our clients by using relative comparables and current market evaluation to advocate for our athletes. At the NHL level a player may only ever sign 1- 4 contracts throughout their entire career so these are vital negotiations to ensure the player and their families are maximizing their earnings.

Injuries are bound to happen throughout an athlete's career. By partnering with Group23 Sports Medicine based in Calgary Alberta, we have access to the best sports physicians in the country. This is vital to ensure that through trusted counsel an injury is properly diagnosed, and all treatment options are explored to ensure a speedy recovery to full health and a return to the ice. The sports physicians at Group23 have been with the Canadian National Team Program for decades working at the highest level, including the Olympic Winter Games and World Junior Championships.

As the pressures to perform accelerate on today's modern athlete, we strongly believe that athletes should be working on strengthening their mental game at all times. By working with performance coaches, psychologists, and our team at Apollo, our athletes can truly reach their full potential with a clear mind to deal with any adversity thrown their way during a long hockey season. We offer ongoing positive reinforcement and regular encouragement to ask for help when needed by removing the negative stigma attached to mental health.

We strongly believe in multi-sport athletes and that hockey players can make physical and mental gains outside of traditional hockey specific training methods in the off season. We will assist each athlete individually to tailor their off-ice training specifically to their needs and physical ability.  We have a wide rolodex of trusted off ice trainers to ensure the athletes are taking care of themselves physically: both during the season and during off season summer training. 

We assist our players to unlock their full potential through a holistic and individual, player development plan. Our team includes player development experts from various backgrounds.  We align our players with specialists: skills coach, power skating, shooting, position specific, or edge work. Our goal is to always have our players working on their game and focusing on areas of improvement to ensure continuous development and building a well rounded skill set.

An athlete's family is an integral part in their path to success by providing a positive support network. We believe that the family surrounding the player should be educated and guided along the way and not just the athlete’s themselves. Through our mentorship program, we connect our young families with more experienced families to help them prepare for what to expect through drafts, major decisions, and general questions along the way. This provides invaluable insight from those who have experienced it all before.

Playing the great game of hockey does end at some point for even the best of the players. Getting ahead of the inevitable is key to avoiding surprises when the day does eventually arrive where you need to step away from playing the game. In the final years as a player's career starts to wind down, it's important to start thinking about what is next for a player and their family. Whether it is staying involved in hockey, real estate, financial services, or going back to school, we will help with the transition out of hockey with internships, education, and introductions. An Apollo athlete will not feel abandoned once their playing career ends.
